Clinical Review of the Carpal Solution Passive Stretching Protocol for Treatment of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

By Doctor C. Morgan DC

Doctor NF Jones, MD, Professor of Orthopedic Surgery and Director of UC Irvine Hand Center published the following statement about Carpal Tunnel Surgery and Hand Operations:   “Carpal tunnel release is one of the most frequently performed hand operations. However, persistent, recurrent, or completely new symptoms following carpal tunnel release remain a difficult problem.”

It is well known in orthopedic medical circles that Carpal Tunnel Surgery has a high rate of risks and complications and the Steroid Injections carry tremendous risks of long term cartilage loss.    Surgery has a success rate reported by Patients to be less than 60%  and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome comes back for over 90% of people within 8 years.  Steroid Injections only work for about 60% of patients and only offer relief in those cases for 2 – 3 months for most. Exposure of the soft tissue to Steroid Injections at high concentration, as is the case with the orthopedic application of steroids, results in long term cartilage loss.

The short-term benefit does not justify the risks in the case of  Carpal Tunnel Surgery or in the case of Steroid Injections.   A Better Treatment Method is needed.

The Carpal Solution Passive Stretching Treatment Protocol is Clinically Documented with patients as a viable clinical treatment for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome in this technical paper written and published by Doctor C. Morgan.  Clinical results of this non-invasive treatment protocol show it is a better first line of treatment for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome than Surgery, Steroid Injections or Wrist Splints.    Further clinical evaluation of this passive stretching treatment should focus on long-term results over 5 to 10 years following treatment
