Blood circulation problems in the hand usually accompany chronic Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. With the rapid advances in electronic thermal imaging, this technology is now being used extensively in medicine to diagnose circulation related issues in the body.
The thermal image below is that of a hand of a chronic Carpal Tunnel Syndrome sufferer produced with the latest FLIR portable thermal imaging camera. The image illustrates the classic circulation problems commonly experienced by chronic Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Sufferers by representing the differences in temperature with different colors. The image below reveals a remarkable 20 degree Fahrenheit temperature differential between the forearm and the tip of the index finger in the image below.
Even the 87.1 degree reading on the forearm is well below what is expected for a hand with good circulation. An extremity like a hand should have a surface temperature above 90 degrees Fahrenheit in a normal hand for a person with good circulation. Normal body surface temperature is typically over 95 degrees Fahrenheit for a non-extremity. A normal hand would not see more than a one degree temperature differential from forearm to the tip of the digits at normal room temperature.
As one would expect, people suffering from CTS often have cold hands compared to their forearms. This is caused by constriction of the blood vessels supplying the hand with oxygen rich blood, warmth and key nutrients needed to function at peak performance. When the hand is deprived from full circulation of these critical nutrients and warmth, it does not function as well as it could.
Dr. Morgan suggests, "The mechanism of action for Carpal Solution Therapy is to open up the tight passage ways in and around the Carpal Tunnel where key arteries and the Median Nerve pass.
The body naturally regenerates itself at night during sleep while the body is at rest. The Carpal Solution is applied before retiring to bed and allows the hand to naturally heal itself by improving nutrient rich blood flow to the damaged nerves and injured soft tissue.
By the same mechanism Carpal Solution Therapy relieves constricted blood flow by relieving external pressure on arteries as demonstrated by improved circulation, it also relieves external pressure on the Median Nerve allowing it to heal and regenerate at the cellular level. In this way the Carpal Solution eliminates the hand pain and hand numbness associated with impingement of the Median Nerve." Dr. Morgan continues, "The dual action of increased nutrient rich blood flow combined with relieving external pressure on the Median Nerve results in rapid relief from the symptoms of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome."
